First Investors Supports Customer Service Week

New York, NY, October 1, 2007 - First Investors is proud to support Customer Service Week, an international effort to raise awareness of the valuable role that customer service plays in organizations.

"The words 'First In Service' are more than just a slogan for all of us at First Investors," said Kathryn S. Head, Chairman of First Investors. "Since our founding in 1930, we've always sought to deliver the highest level of personalized service to all of our clients. With service deeply embedded in the fabric of our Company, it's a natural for us to participate in Customer Service Week."

The theme for this year's celebration is "Customer Service: Doing Our Best with Every Request." During the week, First Investors plans a number of events designed to support the Company's client-centered culture. Associates will be recognized and rewarded for delivering excellent service, and the highlight of the event will be an educational seminar. "Our objectives for the week are to sharpen our service skills, reemphasize our focus on the client and have fun while accomplishing our goals," said Marjorie Solowey, Vice President of Human Resources.

Unlike many companies in the financial services industry, First Investors takes a very personalized approach towards serving clients. Associates throughout the organization are dedicated to the "First In Service" ethos. At sales offices located throughout the U.S., financial services representatives meet one-on-one with clients to help develop investment and life insurance strategies. At the Company's Wall Street headquarters and our Edison, New Jersey administrative and processing centers, home office employees are committed to providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.

"The foundation of First Investors is strong customer service," said Ms. Head. "Celebrating Customer Service Week enables us to both reinforce the importance of good service and recognize our people for providing it."

First Investors has been in business since 1930. During that time we have successfully navigated many difficult economic periods in our nation’s history. Through the personalized service of financial services representatives located in our nationwide network of offices, First Investors uses a face-to-face approach to offer a range of products and services, including mutual funds, annuities and life insurance. Our representatives understand the cyclical nature of the markets, and work closely with clients to establish a disciplined approach to achieving long-term financial goals.
