First Investors Announces New SubadviserNew York, NY, April 29, 2009 - First Investors is pleased to announce that Muzinich & Co., Inc. ("Muzinich") is now serving as the investment subadviser of the First Investors Fund For Income and the First Investors Life Series High Yield Fund. On April 23, 2009, the Board of Trustees of the First Investors Income Funds and Life Series Funds approved an agreement under which Muzinich will serve as subadviser for the Fund For Income and the Life Series High Yield Fund. Muzinich assumed day-to-day management of these funds on April 24, 2009. The Funds will continue to primarily invest in high yield, below investment grade corporate bonds. Muzinich is a registered investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and has extensive experience in managing high-yield and investment grade bond portfolios. As of March 31, 2009, Muzinich had more than $3.3 billion of assets under management.
