Spring 2009 Issue of First Investors Insights Now Available

New York, NY, April 15, 2009 - First Investors just released the Spring 2009 issue of First Investors Insights.

First Investors Insights is a semi-annual newsletter that is mailed with clients' account statements. It is also available on www.firstinvestors.com under the header, "Information Center."

The Spring 2009 issue contains four articles, plus an introduction from First Investors Chairman Kathryn S. Head. The cover story, "Investors Ask: Now What?" discusses the current struggles in the financial markets and how policymakers have responded, as well as ways an individual investor can take action. The cover story goes hand in hand with the inside article, "Market Cycles And Your Investment Strategy." Finally, the topics of life insurance and retirement are discussed in the articles, "Women And Life Insurance" and "New Contribution Limits and Phase-Out Ranges For 2009."

"First Investors Insights is another way for us to communicate with clients," said Robert M. Flanagan, President of First Investors Corporation. "The articles are meant to be informative, and we hope that the topics covered can open, or reinforce, a dialogue between client and representative."

Material contained in First Investors Insights should not be considered tax or legal advice. Nor do they constitute a recommendation or offer to buy securities or life insurance. Articles are intended to be accurate, but First Investors Corporation does not assume liability for loss or damage as a result of reliance on the views expressed in First Investors Insights.
