First Investors Corporation: 2009 First Investors Chairman’s Council Announced

New York, NY, June 3, 2009 - First Investors Corporation recently announced the members of the 2009 First Investors Chairman's Council. The 25 members were determined by their performance rankings for 2008-09.

The First Investors Chairman's Council is an exclusive group of top performers. This year, Gregory Steinmetz claimed the title of President of the 2009 Chairman's Council, repeating his superb performance from 2007-08. Rounding out the top three were Executive Vice President Patrick Sciarra and First Vice President Carrie Mullins.

Earning the title of Senior Vice President were First Investors Chairman's Council veterans Patrick Siria, Richard Doel, Jeffrey Grandy, John Stogner, Jessica Wuerz and Loren C. Morse. Edward McCay, a newcomer to the Council, also garnered the Senior Vice President distinction.

First Investors Chairman's Council Vice Presidents for 2009 include repeat performers Kevin Fennell, Michael Panarello, Deena Wilson, Benjamin Griffith, Sara Rohne-Tanner, Dana Barrett, Jeffrey Capellen, Carrie Souvenir, Chinh Nguyen, John Laggis, Vicki Filipiak, Thomas Lucia and James Slater. Vice Presidents Katrina Lazarus and Timothy Fraser were new additions to the group this year.

The First Investors Chairman's Council is entering its eleventh year, and has been a mark of distinction that First Investors Financial Services Representatives have sought to achieve ever since its inception. Only three current members have been in the First Investors Chairman's Council every year since 1999: Gregory Steinmetz, Patrick Sciarra and Jeffrey Capellen. Sciarra was Chairman's Council President for nine consecutive years. His streak was only broken in 2008, after a record-setting performance by Steinmetz.

The 2009 First Investors Chairman's Council will be formally recognized at the 2009 First Investors Cloud Club Convention, to be held at the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, June 25 – 28.
